January Candlelit Sound Bath

Join us for an evening of personal transformation, combining the deep release of savasana, the guided meditation of yoga nidra ("yogic sleep") and the healing vibrations of Himalayan bowls.

The theme of this month's sound bath is setting positive intention for the New Year. In Yoga Nidra, we call this intention-setting Sankalpa, a seed of positivity and self-affirmation we plant deep in the mind during meditation to grow through the year. This is not a "New Years resolution." It is something much deeper. It is an affirmation of all we are, a deep reverence to the Self and the joyful possibilities of life itself. 

In this workshop, Liz will guide you through a journey in sound to the deepest levels of mental and physical relaxation using Tibetan singing bowls, Koshi chimes, rain stick, drum and voice. 

Physically, studies have shown that Sound Baths can enhance sleep, reduce the experience of chronic pain, ease anxiety, improve digestion and regulate blood pressure and hormonal imbalances.

Emotionally, this practice can inspire feelings of calmness, contentment and mental clarity, helping us to release old emotions and make space for renewal and new beginnings.

What to bring: Please bring a yoga or sports mat. You may also want a pillow,  yoga bolster or blankets to create the ultimate Savasana for yourself. The entire session is lying down.
