Discover Joy of Yoga

Liz Allan Yoga

In a burnout culture that prioritizes competition, accumulation and busy-ness, Yoga practices offer us the opportunity to slow down and simplify.

Through Yoga, we move towards stillness, towards wholeness. We become present and awake to life's joys.

My aim as a Yoga teacher is to guide students on an inward journey towards their deeper selves, encouraging them feeling revitalized, balanced, calm and empowered beyond the yoga mat.

I carefully sequence my accessible slow flow hatha yoga classes to safely develop students' strength, mobility and mental focus.

My therapeutic, restorative yoga classes reduce the symptoms of chronic stress while repairing the nervous system through restful supported poses, natural diaphragmic breathwork and guided relaxation.

In my sound baths, I use Himalayan singing bowls as sonic tools to induce a profoundly relaxing waking-dream state, encouraging the release of deep-seated physical and mental tensions.

I have practiced yoga for 25 years, and began teaching yoga full-time in London, England  in 2013, working in some of the capital's most respected studios, including The Life Centre and Yoga on the Lane.

In 2014, I opened Leyton Yoga, a still-thriving boutique studio for authentic practices in East London.

In 2018, I moved to the Netherlands. I'm honoured to be a Master Teacher at YG Studios, a vibrant and modern studio in central Rotterdam.

Above all else, I am a lifelong student of yoga, having completed over 2000 hours of professional training. I continue to study with some of the world’s most respected teachers including Judith Lasater, Norman Blair, Donna Farhi, and Swami Govindananda of the Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham.

Whatever your goals or needs, it would be an honour to practice yoga with you.
